When Natural Pursuits’ print magazines are created, we plan several projects to fill the pages and flesh out the theme. The selection of the title “Inked” was deliberate. It enabled us to incorporate art projects centered around ink, aligning seamlessly with the theme of tattoos.
One of the concepts for Inked was covering our genitalia with washable ink and then imprinting ourselves onto sheets of drawing paper. It was very silly and we had no idea if it would work. To our surprise the images came out great. The work was more detailed than expected with even pubic hair clearly visible. As the participants got more bold the prints got more abstract, creating patterns and layering colors.
