On March 19th, 2022, Natural Pursuits held a shoot in Brooklyn, NY. As always we spent the day laughing and getting to know one another. It was the first warm spring day, so we were able to spend some time on the rooftop making photography.

This particular rooftop has skylights into the building’s other apartments. At one point a neighbor came up to inform us that we were hanging our asses directly over their living room and kindly requested we be more mindful. Fair enough.

Carter has a book, Dusted, that is the culmination of experimentation with glitter and bodies. The varied colors of glitter, the shimmer contrasting the darkness, models that are fully exposed yet fully covered – Dusted is his way of capturing a moment that can never be recreated.

What began as a cosplay photo shoot with Jared Dreed, where they tried to capture the effect of glitter dripping off the body, turned into a full scale art project. The models who worked with Carter on this helped with the experimentation until finally Michael Sinatra and Carter got it just right.

The project has grown over the years and will continue to do so as more people look to get Dusted. You can get a copy here and preview some of the images here.

About the Artist

In his own words, “I have been a photographer for 7 years now. I had an interest in photography since 5th grade and my interest continued to grow in high school where I joined the school news paper.

I have my own home studio. I also do freelance work doing events around NYC and host a special event at G Lounge called N3rd Night. I have been published in Long Island Spotlight, Bleep Magazine, DNA Mag Blog, had my photography displayed on Times Square, Scope Miami, and G Lounge & Gallery. My photography has also been published in Artist wanted books.

I like to bring out The Clients personality in the photos. Show their inner self and capture it on camera.”
